The search results are displayed in relavency order with the most relevant search results displayed at the top of the page. You can filter your search results by using the filters at the top of the page:

Just click on a subject in the browse box on the right hand side of the page. This will open the browse page, which will show the latest resources uploaded for that subject. Then click on the subject again on the left-hand side of the page to browse through content by level and unit. The page will just display the relevant resources for that level or unit.
What type of resources can I add to the site?
You can add a wide range of resources to the site – diplomabank will support a wide range of file types including Word, PDF, Excel and a wide range of interactive and video formats.
There are three restrictions to adding content to the site:
- File size: Our file size upload limit is 20mb
- Copyright: You should only upload content that you have created and not content produced by others or copied from elsewhere.
- Multiple files - diplomabank will not support resources that need multiple linked files to load.
How do I upload my resources to the site?
After you have logged in to the site, click on the “upload content” link which is at the top left on the screen.
Uploading content to diplomabank is a simple two stage process. On the first “Curriculum area” screen, use the arrows to browse to the subject and level that your content relates to. Once you have selected the appropriate subject and level, click on the heading to go through to the “Upload” page.
The “Upload” page is where you upload your files or link to other web pages. Click on the “upload file or URL” button and then either browse to select a file or enter a URL and press save.
Then you need to enter a descriptive title in the “Name” box which will help users to find your content – the title is used by diplomabank’s search. So for example “video clip 1” does not describe what the resource is, but “Video clip – promotional skills for visual artists” does describe what the clip is and who it’s for. You can add further details in the description box if they will be useful, but this isn’t compulsory. Then check the terms and conditions box at the bottom of the screen and click “save”.
You will then see your uploaded content.
Why can I not see my uploaded resources on the site?
If you have just uploaded your resources to the site, there is a time delay of at least 10 minutes and sometimes longer, depending on our server capacity before they will appear in the “Latest resources” panel on the right hand-side of the screen and in the search results. If you resources have not appeared on the site after 24 hours please email us on diplomabankwebmaster@hodder.co.uk.

Downloaded resources should be used for educational pruposes only and are copyright to Hodder Education. You should not republish them in any format outside your educational institution.
How do I comment on and rate resources in the site?
You can comment and rate all resources on the site, apart from those labeled “Awarding body endorsed” or any content that you have uploaded to the site. Simply search or browse for a resource and then click on the heading to open up the content page. On each content page is an “Add a comment” box, where you can type your feedback about this resource.
You can also add a rating to all the resources on the site, depending on how useful the resource has been for you. On the contents page, underneath the green “download” arrow, there are 5 stars. Hover over and click on the stars to rate the resource – one star is poor, five stars are excellent.
